Here’s how the story goes, I LOVE Shakespeare. OBSESSED. I have dedicated a large part of my (still young) professional career to breaking down barriers and gaining access to these great works. As a person of color, I once thought Shakespeare was only for certain privileged groups, that the plays were dull, inaccessible, and irrelevant. A series of life experiences lead me to a complete 180, and I am mission driven to share my love of the Bard with others, who like me, may not have yet experienced the works in contexts applicable to them.

I started this blog to celebrate multicultural Shakespeare performance and also call out those that I think can do a better job of creating access, diversity, and inclusion.
